As a smart traveler, always remember to carry a strapless bra so you can transform from a day-to-night look without having to carry additional underwear. Opt for a ladies bra that comes with detachable straps, so you can pair it with a t-shirt during the day and work it around a cocktail dress after sundown without too much hassle. We love multitasking and so does this trusty bra!

 Comfort Factor

No one wants to wear anything uncomfortable while traveling, least of all a bra that may poke, chafe or cause you to spill. So, just slip into a trusty wire-free T-shirt bra that will go seamlessly under your clothes and also be super comfy!

Subtle And Sexy

It is a difficult truth to accept, but even your favorite, feel-good, confidence-booster bra must one day be put to rest. Where do pretty, dependable bras go after they have lived out the duration of their shelf life? Bra-heaven, of course. Or maybe not. The point is that as comfortable and sexy some of the bras in your cupboard may be, a lot of them could already be way past their expiration date. And that, believe it or not, is a health concern. On an average, bras that are older than a year must be removed from your closet. If you have put on or lost anything more than four kilos in the last year, it may be time for a fresh fitting. As your body changes, your bras must too.

If you see any of these symptoms, it’s a sign that your bra needs to retire:

The Straps Keep Falling Off

We have all experienced this. You’re at a meeting and you feel one of your bra straps escape off your shoulder. It’s embarrassing to have to rescue the strap through your clothing. What’s worse, however, is when you don’t notice and the recluse strap peeks out from under your half sleeve shirt.
You can adjust those straps all you want. But at some point, you’ll have to face the truth and add new items to the cart.

It is normal to change sizes as many as three times a year. If you have gained weight, you’re probably wearing a bra that’s too small for you and that means you’re going to face spillage! You need to be aware of spill over or bulges over the cups or the wings. When you do notice your assets struggling to contain themselves in old cups, it could be time to put that trusty old bra to rest.

You’re On Your Last Hook

So, you’ve gone through all the hook adjustments but you can’t find that happy fit? That could be your bra’s way of telling you that it’s tired. Wearing a bra that is too loose, defeats the purpose. Similarly, wearing one that is too tight can cause problems with blood flow and pose other health risks. We recommend a large dose of shopping.

The Underwire Is Poking You

The trusted underwire is there to serve you not stab you. If the wire has escaped its seams, you don’t need another sign to put away that bra. It has served you well and now it is time to give it a rest!

The Elastic Doesn’t Bounce Back

Experts suggest that one shouldn’t wear the same bra two days in a row. The period of rest allows the elastic to bounce back increasing the longevity of the garment. Follow a rotational schedule to ensure optimal use of all your bras! But even brave soldiers must someday hang in their sword. If the elastic is warped, it’s time to retire the braveheart.

For a long, LONG time, every morning I used to wake up to the same dilemma – “What should I wear today?” At the root of this seemingly irrelevant impasse, is the fact that most of my wardrobe consists of cool off-shoulder tops or bare-it-all backless dresses. TBH, I’ve always had to keep a hold on my impulsive shopping behavior JUST because I end up in this predicament eventually! If you’ve ever had a wardrobe full of clothes you can only wear with a shrug or jacket, you’ll understand why I’m always planning to shift to a colder country! Luckily for me though, I realized that my problem had a simple solution – new lingerie to fit the style I wanted to wear. Buying new lingerie brought its own little complications though… I wasn’t sure which type of bra would be more suitable for my needs – a strapless wired-support bra or a sneaky-albeit-sexy transparent strap bra? With additional support, a no-show through appeal and lacy options, the strapless bra was an obvious must-have.

On the other hand, a transparent back bra allowed me to remain in my everyday bra zone, with the only difference being the inconspicuous see-through strap.

I tried balancing all the pros and cons for a while, but it only made me realize how much I needed both types of bras.

Strapless for when I wanted the bra to stay completely hidden, and transparent straps when I needed a little more support!

Stayed away from push-up bras ‘cos you weren’t sure if they were right for you? Well, it’s time to put those worries to rest and go ahead and take the plunge! ‘Cos push up bras are a great addition to your intimate wear collection. They not only give your breasts a natural lift, they also make them look fuller some push-up bras may even add a cup size!. Push-up bras basically push your breasts upwards and closer together to naturally enhance cleavage. The padding on the inside of the cups is made of silicone gel or foam to lift up the breast tissue and visibly increase volume. Based on the thickness of the padding, push-up bras can be of 3 types.

Types of push-up bras:

Level 1 – this gives a gentle lift. One-third of the base of the bra is padded either graduated padding or a slight bump. This type adds half a cup size and gives your breasts a natural lift. If you have full or semi-full breasts, go for this type. This push-up bra will give your breasts a moderately rounded look at the top and accentuate your cleavage.

Level 2 – this gives a moderate lift. The padding in this type ends just below the nipple and it adds up to one cup size. So, if your breast size is 32B, you will look like a 32C. If you have wide-set breasts more than three fingers’ gap between your breasts, opt for this type of push-up bra; it will give you a sexy lift and cleavage.

Level 3 – these are known as explosive push-up bras because they add two cup sizes! If your breast size is 32B, you will look like a 32D. If you have shallow breasts, this is your pick. This bra will give your breasts a nice rounded look and enhance your cleavage beautifully. P.S- if you have full breasts, stay away from level 3 push up bras; they will add uncomfortable volume.

Now that you know what the levels of push up padding are, it’s time to pick one that suits your style sensibilities. Pick from lace, smooth contour cups, mesh, and more and wear it with the right styles to get a sexy look, every time!

What to wear it with:

Push-up bras don’t just help you get sexy cleavage but also give your bust a defined shape so you look great in whatever you are wearing. Wear a gentle lift push-up bra under a regular T-shirt – it will give a firm and well-rounded look. Opt for a moderate lift level 2 or an explosive level 3 push-up bra under that deep neckline dress to enhance your cleavage. But remember, do not wear a push-up bra under a button-down shirt because the added volume will cause gaping between the buttons!
